FADE IN:
CLOSE ON A TINY, TWO INCH BLACK CAMERA
Its lens stares. Silent. Still. In the darkness above the
lens, a red light shines, on-off.
INT. MANSION - FOYER - NIGHT
Large. Luxurious. Dimly lit. Silent, except for the ticking
of a grandfather clock. In the darkness near the ceiling, a
tiny red light intermittently flashes.
Dimly lit rooms, a glimpse of flickering red lights:
Living Room.
Kitchen.
Bottom of Stairway. Top of Stairway.
2nd Floor Hallway - a large bedroom, its door open.
From within the bedroom, in darkness, the same red light.
BEDROOM - ANGLE FROM THE POV OF THE RED LIGHT
Feminine. A mahogany dresser. A queen-size bed with canopy.
A full-length mirror. On a wall there is BDSM gear -
paddles, whips, etcetera. A shower runs O.S. To one side,
the same red flicker.
BEDROOM - ANOTHER ANGLE
The shower is louder O.S. The bathroom door is ajar. From
within the bathroom, a red light shines.
BATHROOM - ANGLE FROM THE POV OF RED LIGHT
The room is thick with steam from the shower. Through the
steam, at the far end of the room, the shower's Plexiglas
door reveals the vague image of a BLOND-HAIRED WOMAN.
BOTTOM OF STAIRWAY
A black gloved hand grasps the railing. Black sleeved shirt
linked to a black glove. A black coat. Black ski mask over
PERSON IN BLACK's head... The Person moves up the stairs.
BATHROOM - SAME ANGLE
The image of the Blond-Haired Woman in the shower. Near the
shower's Plexiglas door, a red light flickers.
BATHROOM - ANOTHER ANGLE (FROM THE POV OF THE RED LIGHT)
Closer on the obscured image of the Blond-Haired Woman. She
washes her hair.
2ND FLOOR HALLWAY
Person In Black moves toward the bedroom.
BATHROOM - SAME ANGLE
The Blond-Haired Woman leans forward, lets the water rinse
her hair.
From behind the Plexiglas door, a red light flickers.
INSIDE SHOWER STALL
Blond-Haired Woman's torso, the Plexiglas door behind her,
her face unseen. She turns her back to the camera, uses a
long-handled brush to scrub her back.
She puts the brush on a hook, turns her back to the
shower's spray - it hits her shoulders. She moves a little
further out from the spray, reveals -
The shadow of the Person In Black in the Plexiglas door.
BATHROOM - OUTSIDE STALL (POV OF THE CAMERA CLOSE TO STALL)
The Person In Black reaches for the shower door's handle,
grasps it -
CLICK.
Image becomes -
INT. DARKENED ROOM - COMPUTER SCREEN - NIGHT
INSERT: Pay Thirty Dollars To Continue.
The mouse icon hovers between 'PAY' and 'LEAVE.'
FLARE TO
WHITE:
TITLE CARD: "Six Months Earlier."
INT. MANSION - BEDROOM - DAY
Same bedroom as earlier, but no furniture. The walls are
freshly painted. A laptop sits on the floor, displaying a
screen-saver: an eye, its pupil roving back and forth.
TWO MOVING MEN carry in the mahogany dresser.
SHAWN MARCUS, 25, follows them in. He is attractive but
brooding, with an intense, serious stare. He wears slacks,
dress shoes and a long-sleeved shirt.
SHAWN
Put it over there.
PHIL (O.S.)
Check this out.
Shawn turns from the Moving Men, toward the room's corner,
where PHIL CONNERS, 22, handsome, wearing blue jeans, a T
shirt and a tool belt, stands on a ladder, secures a video
camera to the ceiling. Phil stares out the window.
Shawn moves to the window.
SHAWN'S POV: An ATTRACTIVE WOMAN walks along the quiet
street, passes the mansion. She glances toward the window.
Smiles. Stops. Bends forward to fix her shoe.
BEDROOM
Phil grins. Shawn watches.
PHIL
She's gotta know we're watching.
Shawn smiles, leans close to the window's glass pane.
Phil bangs on the window.
EXT. MANSION - SAME TIME
The Attractive Woman looks up at the window.
BEDROOM
Shawn jumps back, knocks over a full-length mirror. It
falls, shatters.
Shawn looks back at Phil, who smiles at the Attractive
Woman, gives her a big thumbs up.
Shawn shakes his head, looks at the shattered mirror - the
broken shards reflect his face.
INT. MANSION - BATHROOM - LATER
Same bathroom as in the opening. Empty. The door opens.
Phil walks in, removes his tool belt, pulls down his pants
and sits on the toilet.
SHAWN (O.S)
Phil, the camera is on!
Phil grins, looks directly at us.
PHIL
So don't watch.
KITCHEN - LAPTOP SCREEN
A video image of Phil on the toilet.
KITCHEN
Shawn sits at the table, stares at the laptop. Tools, video
cameras and cable lay nearby.
Shawn reaches for the mouse.
LAPTOP SCREEN
The mouse arrow icon slides to Phil's genitals, stops,
hiding them.
EXT. MANSION - NIGHT
Shawn and Phil walk out carrying computer gear. They go to
a van emblazoned with "Voyeur, Inc." and a logo of an eye.
They open the van's back door, put the gear in. Phil looks
at the mansion.
PHIL
This has gotta be costing you a
fortune.
SHAWN
Not me. I'm just a consultant -
technical and creative.
Phil looks at him, surprised.
SHAWN
I'm through watching every
nickel.
PHIL
You're just afraid to fire anyone
else.
Shawn looks at Phil, forces a smile.
SHAWN
Don't be so sure.
Phil laughs. Shawn shuts the van's door.
VAN
Shawn climbs behind the wheel. Phil gets in the passenger
seat. Shawn stares at the road, tense.
SHAWN
The truth is, no one's going to
be fired. This site is going to
succeed.
Phil looks at him. Shawn cranks the engine.
INT. GREENBRIAR ENTERTAINMENT - RHONDA'S OFFICE - DAY
Hip, modern. A sofa, coffee table, big screen TV. RHONDA
STEIN, 30, sits at her desk. She has short hair and a
serious gaze.
RHONDA
She's outrageous. She'll do
anything for attention.
Shawn sits on the sofa, eyes the TV.
TV - GREENBRIAR ENTERTAINMENT CONFERENCE ROOM
LEONA JASNIC, 24, blond, flat stomach, earring in her
navel, sits on a chair in the center of the room with her
legs crossed. Her shirt and tight stretch pants match, but
they are bright, bold colors.
RHONDA'S OFFICE
Rhonda glances down at dozens of actress head-shots on her
desk.
