  (Short film, thriller, 10 minutes)

LOGLINE
An old man, a missing girlfriend, an endless beach, a secret and a shovel.

PITCH
Jack arrives in a sea-side resort, still hoping that one day he will find his missing lost-love, Sarah.

Strange things are happening. The Hotel Owner recognises Jack, the past and present are colliding, and an old man, O'Brien, follows him O'Brien calls him, takes him to the beach, tells Jack to dig. He digs, but he's scared that he's going to dig up the body of Sarah. Jack stops and angrily confronts O'Brien.

And the past is about to be excavated...

Sue Everett (Script Editor, professional writer and lecturer at the Northern Film School) called it "…instantly accessible and interesting to read, with action, intrigue, locations and interesting characters... I loved the whole set up, the atmosphere, the Hotel..."

Zoetrope Quotes - the script
I found this script to be very well-written and structured, leading to well-rounded conclusion and resolution. The subject matter was handled well and the characters excellently portrayed. Within the first few pages, I was "on their side", wanting to know their problems and hoping for a solution. A very moving and well-crafted script.

This is a well constructed short that has a certain visual appeal.
