LOGLINE
Lost in a world of illusion within illusion, Handsome searches for a woman, Petal. Led by Mckenzie, a strange middle aged man in a white coat, he travels through a mystical wood full of symbolism and fables, a world and a wood where nothing is promised.

SYNOPSIS
Handsome tries to find a woman, Petal, but finds himself in a strange, dark wood. Nothing is as it appears. He is sure there's a way out of the forest, and appears to be helped/ led by Mckenzie, a strange middle aged man in a white coat, white beard, white hair. But Mckenzie is from a different world, the very world Handsome is running away from.

Through luck and some skill, Handsome finds a path out of the forest, finds himself in a massive clearing. He looks into the distance and sees buildings glinting with sugared honey, shining towers of possibilities and hope.

Handsome goes to the palace, finds a massive feast laid out on the table. He eats, sleeps. The room is covered in strange signs. Outside, images of Petal, dressed as Little Red Riding Hood, haunt him.

Handsome runs outside to try and find Petal, but instead finds an Old Man that looks familiar… He looks familiar because he is himself as an old man. The Old Handsome talks in riddles, made all the stranger when he introduces him to Petal, now a sleeping beauty, asleep on a bed full of pound notes. Next to Petal, a white dove is trapped in a cage.

Scared, afraid and confused, Handsome runs out of the palace, flees for his life. He finally reaches the forest, collapses, the sounds of wolves howling all around. Scared, he lies there.

Suddenly he realises even this is just an image, reflected in an ornate mirror. The mirror cracks, and a white dove flies out from it. The dove flies, higher, higher. The woods are far below. Soon, the dove is so high that the whole earth shines.

Even this is not real, not the final image. Handsome sits in a psychiatric ward, Mckenzie opposite him. Mckenzie tells him that he must live in the real world, put away his fantasy world. But the world of fairy tales is about to spill over into existence, and turn everything around…
